Summary
Precision BioSciences Summer Internship Program allows current students the opportunity to complete a combination of larger projects to solve a key problem and day to day tasks to better understand what a career in the given field entails. Interns will also participate in group learning and networking opportunities and enhance presentation skills through a capstone presentation at the end of the summer.
This position is a full-time internship, working 40 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks in the summer.
The Program and Process Management Intern will work to develop Work Breakdown Structures of nuclease generation and optimization. The intern will help identify time and resources needed to complete research, non-clinical, CMC and regulatory activities. In addition to WBS, the intern will help develop template timelines to support business development.

- Interview team members to understand nuclease generation and optimization needs.
- Generate and develop timelines, as well as resource needs to complete necessary steps.
- Gain experience with Smartsheet Program Management software to support timeline generation, visualization, and communication.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to aid in project communication.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree (rising Senior) or Graduate degree in biological sciences, chemistry or engineering, or applicable field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with laboratory operations preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of scheduling tools (i.e., Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.) preferred, but not required
- Experience working across teams to align schedules and expectations
- Strong stakeholder communication skills to ensure all parties are aligned

- This is a primarily office-based position associated with the main headquarters in Durham, NC.
