Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Genetic Testing (GT) Liaison to join our growing team. This role is essential in coordinating genetic testing procedures by working closely with patients, insurance providers, referring physicians, and internal teams. Your efforts will ensure smooth approval, access, and follow-up for our patients' genetic testing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Genetic Testing Coordination:
- Complete and process all necessary paperwork for genetic tests.
- Ensure timely shipment of samples to laboratories.
- Retrieve GT orders from outside referrals.
- Review and verify accuracy of documentation from GT Coordinators.
- Maintain and update the GT tracker daily.
- Follow up with labs, physicians, and patients regarding testing orders and results.
- Resolve discrepancies and pending cases with laboratories.
- Assist in scheduling genetic counseling based on patient needs.
Insurance Verification & Authorization:
- Submit prior authorizations and verify patient coverage.
- Communicate with insurance providers regarding denials and appeals.
- Provide patients with cost estimates and benefit details.
Patient Coordination & Communication:
- Establish positive relationships with patients and guide them through the testing process.
- Obtain necessary clinical information for insurance coverage.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate sample collection, and relay results.
Referring Physician Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with referring offices to obtain written orders promptly.
- Address inquiries regarding the genetic testing process.
Quality Assurance & Laboratory Communication:
- Ensure all paperwork meets lab qualifications.
- Coordinate with multiple labs to ensure smooth sample processing.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Required: 2 years of experience in an imaging center or laboratory.
- Preferred: 1 year in upscale/high-end sales, Med Spa, or hospitality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including EMRs and spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical & Working Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Salary : $16 - $22
