Oversee the organization’s overall financial structure, policies and accounting practices, Treasury, risk management, insurance, budgeting, audit, tax, growth/expansion plans and other accounting activities for the corporation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall responsibility for all accounting and financial matters including management of accounts, financial accounting, reporting, and auditor assessment and liaison.

Directs and manages quality and performance of all accounting department, information technology and purchasing personnel.

Manages financial accounts, ensuring accurate forecasts of business performance and working capital requirements are available. Ensures all cash inflows (trading, bank loans, invoice discounting) are always adequate to meet liabilities.

Oversees administration of employee payroll and benefits.

Manages company’s business licensing and filing requirements.

Oversees corporate IT infrastructure, maintaining data integrity, system availability and data security.

Directs and participates in development of corporate strategy, being actively involved in the process and preparation of the overall company strategy and organization. Provides advice, counsel and guidance to senior management on all operations and strategic issues. Provide advise on possible acquisition targets, scrutiny of acquisition candidates and assist in commercial negotiations and due diligence.

Works with legal council, brokers and insurance carriers managing action and claims made by or against the company

Change and develop department operations, with the goal of decreased turnaround times, streamlined work processes, and optimized efficiency and productivity in team-oriented initiatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS or equivalent advanced degree
  • 7-10 years progressive finance and accounting management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Information Technology Systems.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondences, Safety Notices, Control Plans, Quality Alerts, and Packaging instructions. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration and works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to varied temperatures due to working in a non-air-conditioned facility. In addition, the employee is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and a very loud noise environment.
