What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Operations Manager position at Preferred Machine LLC?
Manage Laser cut operations including quality, and efficiencies on 5 lasers, assisting when needed.
Assist team with errors or alarms.
Operate lasers when needed
Manage laser ops according to laser maintenance schedules, machine cleaning, emptying drawers, etc.
Assist operations by keeping materials ready and loaded along with locate and schedule custom material orders for continuous operation.
Keep inventory of consumables
Ensure proper staffing levels.
Supervise and manage laser operators, shift leads and material receiving staff.
Attend all management meetings
Schedule with Lead Staff production planning
Monitor and report KPI’s Plant Manager.
Drive communication through daily meetings with your team
Develop and improve process flow through continuous improvement.
Identify areas of weakness and develop training plans to further grow your team.
Ensure staff is organizing work areas before and after parts are processed.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Review, verify, and approve quotes for budget, BOM, and Routing accuracy.
Proactively Monitor and update Orders due daily
Review, add, and update department SOP’s and ensure staff is trained.

Powder Coat Manager Responsibilities
- Quoting all PC only jobs
- Project management of PC only jobs
- Quoting PC jobs for ISA
- Purchasing all powder
- Purchasing all replacement parts
- Purchasing all chemicals.
- Schedule/Divert works within internal PC departments
- Schedule and work with shipping on all PC only pick up and drop off goods.
- P&L by department
- Attend all management meetings
- Schedule with Lead Staff production planning
- Monitor and report KPI’s Plant Manager.
- Drive communication through daily meetings with your team

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
