Job Description
Reporting to the Plant Crew Lead, the Plant Technician is responsible for proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing issues to maximize plant uptime and throughput. The Plant Technician acts as the boots on the ground tech, ensuring plant housekeeping and compliance with all state and federal safety regulations. Additionally, they manage the inventory, control, and organization of all plant tools and supplies. Collaborating closely with the Plant Crew Lead, the Plant Technician plays a vital role in maintenance planning and coordinates with tower operator to schedule night mechanics to address issues unresolved during the day.
Essential Functions
· Plant Uptime: Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and repair issues to maximize plant uptime and throughput. Implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Shoveling and cleaning under belts or fixing the leaks as needed
· Plant Safety and Compliance: Act as the boots on the ground tech for maintaining plant housekeeping and ensuring compliance with all state and federal safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Tool and Supplies Management: Maintain proper inventory, control, and organization of all plant tools and supplies. Ensure availability and functionality of tools required for routine maintenance and repairs.
· Maintenance Planning:
Collaborate with the Plant Crew Lead to ensure that issues unresolved during the day are effectively communicated to night mechanics. Participate in maintenance planning to streamline operations.
· Skid-steer Maintenance: Take ownership for maintaining the plant skid-steer in a safe and professional working order. Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs as needed.
Zero Tolerance Policy:
· Professional Dress: Adhere to Premier uniform standards, wearing appropriate attire, including a Premier uniform shirt, reflective vest or jacket worn as designed when uniform shirt cannot be seen, long pants, and proper footwear.
· PPE Compliance: Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and instruct others to do so in appropriate situations to maintain safety standards.
· Zero Tolerance for Gossip and Drama: Maintain professionalism and integrity by refraining from engaging in gossip, drama, or negativity, contributing to a harmonious workplace environment.
· Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow all policies outlined in the Safety Manual and Standard Operating Procedures Manual to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
· Start Times: Arrive to work and clock in on time per the Crew Lead’s instructions.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
