As the brand continues to scale across E-commerce and wholesale channels, it’s seeking a Director of Operations to lead logistics, inventory, and fulfillment—particularly through an upcoming transition to a third-party logistics (3PL) provider.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Fulfillment:
- Lead the transition from in-house fulfillment to a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, ensuring a smooth migration with minimal disruption.
- Manage and optimize order fulfillment, shipping, and returns across wholesale and e-commerce channels.
- Oversee relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and warehouses, ensuring cost-efficient and timely deliveries.
- Implement best practices for inventory accuracy, order processing speed, and customer satisfaction.
Wholesale & E-Commerce Operations:
- Oversee inventory planning and distribution to support wholesale partners and direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align inventory availability with demand.
- Optimize B2B and DTC logistics, ensuring smooth operations for retailers and online customers.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience through better logistics and delivery solutions.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
- Ensure accurate inventory levels across all warehouses and distribution points.
- Work with finance and leadership to optimize costs, margins, and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Technology Integration:
- Identify and implement automation tools, software, and operational efficiencies to improve
workflows and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to enhance systems integration between e-commerce, ERP, and 3PL platforms.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for fulfillment accuracy, shipping speed, and cost efficiency.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and develop the operations team, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.
- Act as the key liaison between sales, marketing, finance, and logistics partners.
- Develop scalable operational strategies to support growth and international expansion.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging logistics technologies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the fashion or apparel industry.
- Proven experience managing wholesale and e-commerce distribution.
- Strong knowledge of 3PL implementation, order fulfillment, and logistics management.
- Experience with ERP, inventory management systems, and logistics software.
- Ability to manage relationships with warehouses, carriers, and wholesale partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
