Job Overview :
Premier Power Maintenance is a leading provider of comprehensive power solutions, seeking a highly motivated and experienced business development or sales professional to spearhead growth in our Protection and Controls (P&C) division. This critical role will focus on expanding our market presence and driving revenue generation within investor-owned utilities (IOUs), electric power cooperatives (Coops), municipal entities, and engineering, procurement, and construction firms (EPCs) across an eight-state region surrounding PPM's headquarters, with opportunities to extend reach nationally.

Responsibilities :
- Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within IOUs, Coops, and municipal power entities to foster trust and identify potential protection and controls service needs.
- Opportunity Identification : Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the targeted utility landscape, analyzing market trends and competitive activity to secure a leading position for PPM.
- Contract Development & Negotiation : Develop and negotiate Master Service Agreements and project-specific contracts and proposals with utilities and power producers to ensure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
- Network Expansion : Extend networking efforts strategically beyond the core eight-state region to engage with utilities nationwide and pursue national MSAs, driving broader market penetration for PPM's P&C services.
- EPC Engagement : Establish and nurture relationships with key EPC firms involved in P&C projects, collaborating on proposals and securing contracts for PPM's specialized services.
- Sales & Marketing : Promote the full spectrum of PPM's services, including P&C solutions, Specialty Construction and NETA testing which will effectively position PPM as a contracting partner for all power infrastructure needs.
- Market Intelligence : Gather and analyze market intelligence on competitor activities, emerging technologies, and industry trends, providing valuable insights to guide PPM's strategic direction.
- Sales Reporting : Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions, utilizing CRM systems to track progress and provide timely reports to management.
Qualifications :
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of industry testing and safety standards such as NFPA including OSHA compliance standards, federal, state, and local safety laws and DOT rules and regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure to meet goals and deadlines.
Ability to work independently while utilizing excellent judgement.
Must have intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, etc.
Able to follow and enforce all company rules, practices, and policies.
Work Environment :
Corporate business hours are Monday-Friday, 7 : 30am-4 : 30pm, but depending on the scope of works hours outside of business hours may be required.
Work in close, but safe, proximity to live electrical substations.
Blend of office work, remote work, and customer visits is expected.
Education and Work Experience :
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Minimum of 10 years sales or business development experience in a similar electrical services environment
Other Requirements :
Must have a valid driver’s license and must have or be willing to obtain an endorsement to operate a combined vehicle weight up to 26k lbs.
Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 25 lbs.
Must be willing to obtain a company paid TWIC, OSHA 10 hour, NFPA 70-E, and CPR training.
