Flint/Grand Blanc area manufacturing company is seeking a Production Line Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift production operation. The Line Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an efficient process in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to optimize day-to-day activities to deliver products of maximum quality. This position plans and assigns work, monitors employees, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
· Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
· Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Essential Functions
· Ensure effective employee relations.
· Provide employee coaching and development.
· Makes employment decisions.
· Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
· Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
· Work to continuously improve in all areas.
· Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls.
· Paperwork, reporting, line schedules, and other administrative duties.
