Prep Baseball Tournaments – Data Coordinator– Kansas City
Prep Baseball Tournaments is seeking highly qualified associates to work and support day to day operations of our Kansas City Complexes, ranging from data collection, analysis and dissemination, scouting coverage as well as tournament operations. Prep Baseball Tournaments is the leading tournament provider for high school athletes and teams from all over the country. This is why we are seeking individuals who can help us improve their playing experience through data distribution and world class reporting. Data Coordinators support the data capture, research, and distribution throughout both of the Kansas City complexes. The position’s focus is to oversee the collection of TrackMan data and work on projects that will analyze the data. Positions will report to the Managing Director and work closely with other key Tournament personnel. Positions run from June 1st, 2025 to August 1st, 2025 and compensation will include a stipend and housing for the summer as well as other opportunities.
DATA COORDINATOR
Responsibilities:
- Manage video and technology equipment for data capture, including TrackMan and live streaming cameras
- Serve as technology liaison for tournament, media, and data operations
- Collect, review and confirm team rosters prior to games and check data for accuracy after games
- Facilitate coordination of all game and practice video to coaching staff and players
- Utilize TrackMan’s video clipping tool to upload video after games and provide feedback
- Verify data accuracy and video quality
- Provide daily updates to staff and content partners (TrackMan, Synergy, NBC)
- Work with the rest of the content and social team to create, edit and deliver video playlists.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Other duties as assigned like leaderboard creation, umpire reports, etc.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and strong interest in baseball operations, amateur scouting, player development, or baseball analytics
- Proficiency with computers (Windows, Mac).
- Experience with baseball technology.
- Must bring your own laptop computer.
- Must have transportation to Kansas City.
- The role requires availability outside of traditional work hours including night, weekends,
