What You Will be Doing
PWG Network Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager. In this role you will be responsible for managing the network operations team members, and acts as the ongoing customer network operations contact with partners. They manage network operational responsibilities that support said customers. In addition, they analyze email and trouble ticket categories specific to network to determine potential trends impacting our partners and their subscribers.
The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Scheduled shift is Monday thru Friday, 9AM-5PM Eastern, with some hours outside of normal business required, dependent on needs of the business. Flexibility and tolerance are necessities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to network operations staff to meet/exceed partner expectations.
- Identify system and workflow improvements within the network and other related applications to enhance the team's efficiency and better the partner experience.
- Document best practices for network troubleshooting and support for quick reference and ongoing education of team members.
- Participate in dynamic priority setting sessions.
- Candidate must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
- Develop and maintain network operations quality assurance and monitoring process.
- Assessing customer network requirements and ensuring that these standards are met.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
The Ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Able to promptly answer support related emails, phone calls and other electronic communications.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
- Experience with hardware and software issues.
- Proficient in office related programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Experience in multi-structured environment with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
- The ability to communicate and teach non-technical users a must.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed. Some nights/ weekends required.
- Respond proactively to training, technical support and customer service needs in line with provided guidelines.
- Experienced leader with a minimum of 10 years experience in network architecture, design and management of a mobile network engineering team.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture, with at least 5 years of experience focused on wireless network operation.
- Understanding of MVNA, MVNE, MVNO Architecture/design/functionality in the wireless environment.
- Intelligent Networking operation for Voice/SMS in both SS7/CAMEL as well as Diameter RO.
- Familiarity with data networking protocols such as RADIUS and DIAMETER.
