What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Services Manager (LPN or RN) position at Presbyterian Villages of Michigan?
Are you an experienced healthcare professional with strong clinical and leadership skills? We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled individual to join our team as a Clinical Leader for our Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), and Memory Care (MC) Units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Supervise: Oversee the daily operations of the IL, AL, and MC units, ensuring that all aspects of resident care are met. Coordinate the assessment, development, and monitoring of personalized care plans to ensure residents' needs are fully addressed.
- Resident Care: Conduct rounds, monitoring residents’ medical conditions, diets, physical activity, and general well-being. Facilitate transfers to hospitals or triage centers as needed, always keeping the health of the residents your top priority.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record residents’ medical information, vital signs, and any changes in their conditions. Review, correct, and authorize documentation, charts, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Staff Management & Development: Lead a team of care professionals by providing training, scheduling, performance reviews, and handling disciplinary actions when necessary. Responsible for hiring and onboarding new team members, creating schedules, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Collaboration: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans, lead care conferences with families, and consult with healthcare professionals on best practices for resident care.
- Infection Control & Safety: Coordinate infection control programs and ensure all necessary precautions are in place. Keep the team informed on safety policies, regulations, and best practices for care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Prepare for annual state licensure surveys, ensuring the facility and team adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct in-service training and stay current on best practices in the industry.

On-Call Availability: Be available to address concerns from residents, families, or staff as needed, ensuring smooth communication and resolving any issues that arise.
- Associates Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
- Six months to one year of geriatric experience preferred.
Computer Skills:
- Ability to operate a computer.
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
Certificates & Licenses:
- Current Michigan RN License required.
- Ability to operate a computer.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work holidays, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
