Restaurant Inventory Specialist

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels of food, beverage, and supply items in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective operation of inventory-related processes, including accurate counts, updated inventory systems, organization of product, and tracking supplies. The Inventory Specialist works closely with operations team, commissary team, and management to minimize waste, prevent shortages, and support seamless restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels for food, beverages, and restaurant supplies
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Communicate any discrepancies or inconsistencies to operations team
• Organize and label inventory in storage areas for easy access and rotation (FIFO)
• Track inventory usage and generate reports for management
• Help identify opportunities to reduce waste and control food costs
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in storage practices

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Familiarity with inventory software and point-of-sale systems
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in walk-in refrigerators/freezers
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Inventory management: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
