Qualifications
- Proficient in written and spoken English with strong communication skills
- Experience in customer support and client services
- Skilled in data entry and phone etiquette
- Knowledge of Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and has general computer skills
- Ability to handle cash without error
- Must be a proactive team player
- Comfortable and confident in dealing with the needs of multiple rescue groups
- Previous experience in veterinary setting is REQUIRED
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and dog/cat vaccination schedules REQUIRED
Responsibilities
- Greets clients and obtains demographic information and patient medical records
- Schedules routine and surgical appointments
- Checks clients into the practice management system
- Answers and routes calls as necessary while accurately taking and delivering messages to appropriate recipients.
- Accepts and signs for packages, and notifies addressee of package arrival
- Performs a variety of Ad Hoc clerical tasks
- Maintains clean and orderly reception area and assists with laundry and other cleaning tasks as needed
- Assist clients with pets as necessary
- Handles cash, checks, and credit cards for payments
- Balances the end of day reports
- Faxes and emails important documents to online pharmacies, and other veterinary clinics
- Scans and imports documents into patient history
