Description
Provides administrative support for Children’s ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church - North Campus (“PBC- NC”).
Responsibilities:
- Initiates and performs administrative tasks for the ministry, including scheduling appointments, answering telephones and emails, ordering office supplies, and other administrative duties
- Leads LifeGroup check-in on Sunday mornings
- Responds to requests and inquiries from Children’s ministry leadership, teachers, members, attendees, and prospects
- Provides administrative support for LifeGroups including running reports, preparing and updating rosters, classroom assignments, and other resources as needed
- Assists the 1st thru 6th grade staff in administrative assignments for LifeGroups and ministry events
- Completes and submits check requests, purchase orders, and credit card requests for 1st – 6th grade staff needs
- Composes and distributes correspondence for Children’s Ministry
- Coordinates with appropriate church staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
- Assists with composing and creating informational letters, brochures, etc. for Children’s Ministry by collaborating with the Communications department
- Assists with enlisting volunteers for special assignments and needs for Children’s Ministry
- Ensures volunteer screening processes are followed
- Maintains volunteer background lists and requests updates as required
- Leads the coordination of the New Christians’ classes and family baptism scheduling
- Prepares materials for training
- Assists with preparation and execution of special events conducted by the Children’s Ministry including Kidz Camp, Adventure Week (VBS), and Preteen Weekend
- Maintains files and databases
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-NC
- Have a joyful passion for Children’s Ministry
- Experience in an administrative role
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Team player
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
- Able to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule that includes Wednesday evenings
- Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Willing to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule that includes Wednesday evenings
