Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Senior BMD Trainer and Analyst. This position focuses on the readiness and certification of Pacific Fleet ships, specifically in the domain of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) operations and training. The role entails improving training standards, tracking certification status, and ensuring operational readiness through effective planning and quality control.
The Senior BMD Trainer and Analyst shall have extensive knowledge of BMD operations, synthetic training environments, and combat systems, with a strong focus on optimizing training processes and ensuring operational readiness across the Pacific Fleet.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- BMD Training Standards Development:
- Develop, monitor, and analyze BMD training standards, including certification tracking, program management, and mission area analysis.
- Provide detailed recommendations for enhancing CNSP/ATGPAC training requirements and evaluation standards to meet fleet demands.
- BMD Watch Team Operations & Training:
- Conduct comprehensive training for BMD watch teams and evaluate their readiness, leveraging extensive knowledge of BMD operations and scenario development.
- Utilize Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) architecture to simulate training environments, facilitating practical BMD operational exercises and joint-force training.
- Operational Planning & Support:
- Support the execution of Navy and Joint Fleet Synthetic Training and BMD exercises, coordinating Multi-Tactical Digital Information Link (TADIL) operations to ensure operational proficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements in training, scheduling, and quality control to streamline operational procedures.
- Data & Certification Management:
- Oversee the tracking and management of training and certification schedules, ensuring all units meet mission requirements for immediate deployment.
- Perform program quality assurance, data analysis, and systems administration to maintain high-quality training standards.
- Executive Briefings & Communication:
- Draft and present strategic briefs for Flag-level leadership, summarizing training progress, operational readiness, and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Experience:
- Surface Navy Experience: Extensive experience managing shipboard Combat Systems operations and BMD training, including leading BMD watch teams and conducting related operations.
- BMD Watch Officer Qualification: Qualified as a BMD Watch Officer with practical experience in conducting BMD operations or similar joint/agency engagements.
- BMD Training & Scenario Development: Minimum of 5 years in BMD watch-team training and evaluation or significant experience in BMD exercises and training scenarios.
- Fleet Synthetic Training (FST): Skilled in the use of FST architecture or equivalent DoD training simulations for planning and executing Navy and BMD exercises.
- TADIL Operations Management: Experienced in planning, setup, and execution of Multi-TADIL operations to support BMD.
- Leadership in Process Improvement: Proven track record of leading teams to identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Scheduling and Certification Management: Experienced in managing training and certification timelines for military units.
Knowledge Areas:
- BMD Tactical Systems & Procedures: Well-versed in BMD Tactics, Technical Systems, COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series, and Tactical Memorandums.
- C5I Systems & Synthetic Training: Proficient in US Navy Surface ship C5I systems and embedded training systems that support synthetic training.
- AEGIS Combat Systems: Deep understanding of the AEGIS Combat Systems, its components, operational instructions, and application in synthetic training environments.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office for data management, analysis, and report preparation.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (No specific discipline)
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
