Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Senior BMD Trainer and Exercise Coordinator. This position requires a highly experienced Navy professional with extensive expertise in tactical warfare, Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), and fleet synthetic training exercises.
The Senior BMD Trainer and Exercise Coordinator shall be a seasoned Navy professional with deep tactical knowledge, technical acumen, and leadership experience to support Pacific Fleet training and certification, specifically in BMD and synthetic exercises, contributing to fleet readiness and operational excellence.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Training Standards Development & Execution:
- Oversee and improve standards for surface ship training, with a focus on BMD and synthetic training exercises to meet evolving operational demands.
- Develop comprehensive intelligence scenario products and tactical scenarios for BMD watch-team training.
- Fleet Readiness & Certification Support:
- Track and manage fleet certification and training schedules, ensuring seamless execution of training objectives and fleet readiness for immediate deployment.
- Conduct BMD watch-team training, both in real-world settings and through synthetic exercises like BMDEXs.
- Tactical Warfare Expertise:
- Provide expertise in tactical warfare, planning, and execution, applying knowledge in a real-world or simulated environment.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Tactical Warfare, planning and implementing tactics and unit employment during exercises or operations.
- Data Analysis & Quality Assurance:
- Monitor training data, conduct detailed analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance training efficiency and standards.
- Track and analyze performance metrics for Navy units and surface ships to ensure the highest level of mission readiness.
- Senior-Level Communication & Process Improvement:
- Draft and present Flag-level briefs to senior Navy and Department of Defense officials.
- Lead and prioritize process improvement initiatives for training and readiness programs, applying best business practices.
- Coordination with Higher Headquarters & Multi-TADIL Operations:
- Engage with higher headquarters, including strike groups and units, to support intelligence collection, analysis, and operational planning.
- Plan and execute Multi-Tactical Digital Information Link (TADIL) operations to support BMD and ensure effective coordination between training units.
Requirements
Experience:
- Surface Navy Experience: Minimum 20 years, including Command Afloat and Major Command Afloat positions with a strong technical background in combat systems training, configuration, operations, testing, maintenance, and repair.
- BMD Tactical Knowledge: Qualification as a BMD Watch Officer/Tactical Action Officer with hands-on experience in BMD concepts, operations, and scenario development.
- Flag-Level Briefing: Experience preparing and delivering high-level briefs for Flag officers, with a focus on training, readiness, and tactical operations.
- Warfare Tactics Planning & Execution: At least 5 years in tactical warfare planning and execution, including simulated and real-world exercises.
- BMD Exercise Experience: Five years of experience conducting BMD exercises or recent, in-depth BMD operations experience.
Knowledge Areas:
- BMD Tactics & Systems: Understanding of COMNAVSURFORINST 8820.2 series requirements, BMD command and control, surveillance, engagement, and planning.
- Synthetic Training Systems: Knowledge of FST architecture, AEGIS Combat Systems, US Navy Surface ship C5I systems, and embedded training systems.
- Fleet Operations & C5I Data Exchange: Proficiency in staff and fleet planning, operational procedures, and data exchange requirements essential for deployed naval forces.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (No specific discipline)
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Salary : $85,000 - $130,000
