Prevailing Faith Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform maintenance tasks for our church and school facilities. Our ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining a safe and functional environment.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will ensure the upkeep and functionality of all school and church facilities by performing routine maintenance, overseeing repairs, and coordinating with service providers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
- Upkeep and Repairs: Address structural repairs and manage equipment or furniture moving as requested.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure long-term reliability.
- Supervision & Coordination: Oversee contractors and service providers, building strong relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective work.
- Budget Management: Track and manage maintenance expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting & Logs: Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Team Support: Collaborate with leadership to provide guidance or policy instructions to staff as necessary.
- Transportation: Assist with transporting members, students, food, or equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
- Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Class D or Chauffeur License preferred).
- Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) certification is an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
