Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Technician to join our Broadband Network Operations Center (NOC) team. In this role, you will monitor, maintain, and support the broadband network, ensuring seamless service delivery to our customers. You will troubleshoot and resolve network issues, assist field operations with equipment restoration, and document network activities to help improve overall system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the Broadband network, ensuring prompt acknowledgment and response to alarms and customer calls.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve network issues, sectionalizing and isolating trouble effectively.
- Work closely with field operations, technical support, and other teams to repair network equipment and facilities.
- Follow and implement Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to anticipate and prevent potential problems proactively.
- Provide Tier I support for various platforms and interact with internal and external repair teams.
- Document network failures, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps for effective resolution and future prevention.
- Manage trouble tickets, ensuring follow-up, escalation (if necessary), and closure.
- Communicate effectively with peers, internal customers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Broadband/DSLAM network systems, architecture, and configurations.
- Knowledge of telecom and network topology, repair procedures, and equipment restoration techniques.
- Basic understanding of Ethernet routers/switches and ATM network equipment.
- Familiarity with Element Management Systems (EMS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), alarming, provisioning, and related tools.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a 24x7 environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network inventory systems, network monitoring tools, and escalation processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
