If so, we are currently seeking a Custom Sign Fabricator to join our team!
As a Custom Sign Fabricator, you’ll cut, shape, and assemble materials – working with metals, plastics and more to create eye-catching, high-quality signage. This position will handle all aspects of the fabrication process, from receiving the order to building and assembly to preparing the order for shipment and installation.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to create complete units.
- Operate and maintain conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines, applying knowledge of machine shop theory, material properties, and layout techniques.
- Utilize shop mathematics to ensure precise measurements and fabrication accuracy.
- Safely operate a variety of tools, machines, and materials to complete fabrication tasks efficiently.
- Prioritize workplace safety by following established procedures and best practices in all aspects of fabrication.
- Inspect, maintain, and care for all equipment and materials to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Technical school or vocational training in welding, machining, or fabrication (preferred).
- One to three years of experience in fabrication, metalworking, or a related field.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Experience operating fabrication machinery (e.g., saws, welders, CNC machines, presses).
- Familiarity with different materials (metals, plastics, composites) and their properties.
- Knowledge of metalworking, cutting, bending, and assembly techniques.
- Understanding of shop mathematics for accurate measurements and layouts.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting fabrication challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Working Environment/Physical Demands:
- Noise is moderately loud, dusty, and dirty.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Comfortable standing for long periods, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, frequently walking, and climbing steps.
- Skilled in hand and finger dexterity.
- Comfortable and able to safely climb and work from a ladder.
- Strong focus on safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Work may involve exposure to varying outdoor temperatures.
