We are looking to add an Accounts Payable clerk in the Old Lyme, CT Area!

Pay: $23-$26/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00pm
Job Description:
- Perform accounts payables and support the accounting and administrative functions of the company.
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments
- and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Daily bank runs with deposits.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions.
- Maintains and updates customer files,
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
- A/P Clerk creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts
- Collaborates with the Controller to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Familiarity with payroll management and data entry.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
