Admissions Assistant
Monday - Thursday, 4-9 pm
Pay $30 in Washington DC 20032
POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Admissions Assistant provides support to the Director of Admission s in a wide range of admissions activities. This position provides support to the Director of Admissions, communicates directly with prospective and current learners, gathers required documents; maintains confidentiality of sensitive and personal information; prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Communicates directly with prospective and current learners via phone and email. Maintains positive, customer-oriented relationships.
Assists learners in navigating the Admissions process including gathering required documents and communicating individually to support learners.
Compiles, prepares, and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
Inputs a variety of information into an assigned system; assures accuracy of input and output data.
Receives and greets visitors; screens correspondence and telephone calls for administrator and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, and internet navigation proficiency
Proven administrative or assistant experience
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
Outstanding interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with school staff, the public, and representatives of other agencies
