Position Overview:
The Production Assistant at Primadonna will play a central role in translating order details into production-ready work orders of soft goods. Responsibilities include scheduling, purchasing, vendor relations, MRP system management, and collaboration with the sales team.
Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing:
- Translate customer order details into production-ready work orders.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and specifications.
2. Scheduling:
- Coordinate and plan the production schedule in alignment with project deadlines.
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to minimize delays.
3. Purchasing:
- Assist in the procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
4. Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
5. MRP System Management:
- Utilize the MRP system to manage production requirements and inventory control.
- Review and update production data, BOMs, routings, and system information.
6. General Assistance:
- Support the Production Manager in various administrative tasks.
- Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in production, purchasing, or a related field.
- Top candidates will have experience in soft goods production, sewing, seamstress work, the bedding industry, or business aviation.
- Experience working with MRP systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
