Primary Healthcare Centers (PHC) is seeking a Front Desk Representative - Floater to provide essential support across multiple locations. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming, professional, and patient-centered environment while ensuring smooth front office operations. As a floater, you will adapt to various clinic settings, assisting with patient interactions, appointment scheduling, and administrative tasks, all while upholding PHC’s mission of delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel between PHC locations as needed to provide front desk coverage and support.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors with professionalism, ensuring a positive experience.
- Uphold PHC’s commitment to compassionate and high-quality healthcare through excellent customer service.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the front desk, waiting area, and reception space.
- Answer and route incoming calls, take messages, and provide patients with accurate information.
- Verify insurance, collect payments, and update patient demographic data.
- Schedule and reschedule appointments while informing patients of required documentation or updates.
- Conduct interviews for sliding scale patients and ensure accurate documentation.
- Run daily reports, balance day sheets, and prepare cash deposits.
- Assist patients with medical assistance applications and ensure proper completion, processing, and notification.
- Receive, log, and coordinate patient pickup for incoming medication shipments.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and PHC-specific guidelines and protocols.
- Cross-train in other front desk roles to ensure flexibility and adaptability in a multi-location setting.
- Address patient inquiries or concerns with professionalism, providing solutions or rescheduling as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to travel between PHC locations based on operational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic office software.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and balance daily financial reports.
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing clinic environments.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and medical documentation processes is a plus.
