- Solutions oriented and focused on ensuring medical accuracy, robust scientific evidence, and compliance with US laws and regulations.
- Able to work in close collaboration with US Medical leads and key internal stakeholders such as WW Medical, US and WW Commercial, Congress strategy team etc., Alliance Partners, and vendors to deliver on key medical activities.
- Maintains therapeutic area and product knowledge through ongoing assessment of relevant published literature, treatment guidelines, internal resources, and data.
- Responsible for providing input and advice to conduct the review of promotional materials for scientific/medical validity
- Critically review and provide solutions to complex promotional strategies and tactics to ensure balance of the messages, medical accuracy, and appropriateness of the content of the materials/activities in accordance with relevant guidance.
- Determine acceptability of data/references used to support promotional claims and provide strong guidance as well as effective negotiation leading to resolution for pieces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional medical team members, alliance partners, and vendors to deliver key medical activities related to Eliquis, including advisory boards, congress deliverables, proactive messaging, reactive medical communications, and publication strategy.
- Work with Eliquis medical leads to execute health equity initiatives, educational activities, and medical conference initiatives.
- Participates in conference planning meetings led by Alliance matrix teams and collaborates with them to create conference communication materials.
- Complete all assigned SOPs and training within the designated timeframe and adhere to job-specific SOPs and work instructions.
- Stay aware of current industry trends and conduct business in accordance with Client Values.
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP).
- Scientific knowledge in cardiovascular or thromboembolic disease or related industry experience in medical affairs (2 years preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and scientific/medical written and verbal communication skills required.
- Robust leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated success in driving optimal business results in a complex matrix organization required.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to work in an environment requiring individual initiative and accountability. Ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to organize and communicate complex scientific data to multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience working within an Alliance or Joint Venture or Agency is desirable.
- Prior promotional review experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Prior experience in the cardiovascular therapeutic area preferred.
- Prior Medical affairs or promotional review experience.
- Strong scientific acumen, medical writing, and communication skills are preferred.
