Objectives: The Human Resources Generalist is a key contributor to the effective operation of our Human Resources department, reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources. This role requires a collaborative team approach to support and enhance the organization’s HR functions. Primary responsibilities include payroll administration, employment law compliance, employee benefit enrollments and maintenance, and the development and implementation of HR policies and practices. The position’s ultimate objective is to deliver comprehensive HR support while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with the company’s values.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Payroll Processing and Management, Auditing and Issue Resolution
- Contribute to the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Support and drive various HR initiatives and projects.
- Monitor and interpret changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Handle compliance reporting, such as EEO-1, OSHA logs, or other government-mandated reports.
- Manage employee documentation to meet legal and organizational standards.
- Review and recommend updates to HR policies and practices, ensuring alignment with legal standards and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of HR to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities.
- Assist with maintaining the employee handbook, organization chart, and employee directory.
- Conduct employment verifications and handle related requests.
- Collaborating with Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist for ensuring smooth onboarding of new associates
- Assist with various other HR initiatives such as the Intern Program, Prime for Women, Prime for Young Professionals, and others as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years of HR experience required.
- SHRM-CP preferred; or aPHR certification required within 18 months of hire.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe, Salesforce, and HRIS technologies.
