Job Title: Part-Time Accountant
Location: Eureka, CA
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Accountant to join our team in Eureka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Handle deposits and pick up mail as required.
- Assist with payroll, tax preparation, and other accounting duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (5 year QuickBooks experience required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Suites
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Compensation:
- Mileage reimbursement based on current California standard mileage rates.
Schedule:
- Part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
