What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist - Primoris Energy Services position at Primoris Services Corporation?
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Primoris, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are maintained across all levels of our projects. This includes performing field audits, conducting investigations into accidents and incidents, facilitating root cause analysis for non-conformities, and assisting in the collection and management of documentation. Additionally, you will collaborate with our training teams to support the development of quality management training programs for field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage quality management policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Perform regular inspections, quality tests, and audits across project sites to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Address quality issues and propose solutions in coordination with project managers and senior leadership.
- Document all quality assurance activities, generate audit reports, and maintain records in alignment with quality control procedures.
- Recommend improvements to enhance quality performance across operations, based on audit findings and process evaluations.
- Lead continuous quality audits on project processes to verify compliance with company, client, and governmental quality standards and requirements.
- Maintain a strong presence in the field, with a minimum of 70% of time spent on-site conducting inspections and audits.
- Collaborate closely with internal and subcontractor teams to ensure quality standards are met in all construction and operational processes.
- Provide routine quality reports and performance metrics to the Corporate Quality Manager and Project Managers.
- Ensure alignment of subcontractors' work with quality assurance and control specifications.
- Deliver training and coaching to project teams on Quality Management Plan processes and quality assurance protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, specifically in large-scale projects in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Power industries.
- Experience with auditing techniques, quality data analysis, and non-destructive examination (NDE) for welding performance and piping fabrication.
- Familiarity with national and international codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, B31.1, and other relevant industry guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to address non-conformance and ensure corrective actions.
- Proven ability to oversee and lead teams in ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent qualifications is a plus.
