The Prince George's County Department of Health is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Program Coordinator (Community Developer 2A) position, grade A21, in the Behavorial Health division.
About The Position
The is a full-time professional position proving case management services to adolescents participating in the Recovery Clubhouse program. Work is performed under the general supervision of a high-level supervisor. Work performance is evaluated in terms of quality, timeliness, and production.

Their mission is to lead, engage, and empower our community to work collaboratively towards disease prevention, health equity, and total well-being. The PGCHD works to protect and support the public’s health through numerous services that range from restaurant inspections and disease tracking to care coordination and health promotion. The department is composed of four divisions: Behavioral Health Services, Environmental Health and Disease Control, Family Health Services, and Health and Wellness, supported by the Office of Administration, Office of Human Resources and the Office of the Health Officer. The mandate of the department has been, and will remain, broad. This plan emphasizes improving core functions and operations, including protecting the public from health threats, implementing strategies to support healthy living, and maintaining a focus on vulnerable populations, while developing efficient internal processes to support these activities.

- Evaluation: Planning, data collection, reporting, improvement implementation.
- Relationship Building: Partnerships, collaboration, community engagement.
- Problem Solving: Issue identification, analysis, solution development.
- Continuous Improvement: Best practices, feedback integration, program enhancement.
- Bachelor's Degree with major course work in Business/Public Administration, Public Health, Social Service, Sociology, Psychology, or other fields.
- One (1) year of responsible work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in specific area, e.g., community outreach, grant writing, data analysis, budget management support.
- Experience with youth and community engagement.
- Experience managing grant-funded programs a plus.
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation preferred.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, required.
- Proficiency in software tools, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, database management] required.
