Patrol Officer Part-time

Principal Watch, A Private Patrol Co., is currently looking for a part-time committed and attentive Security Vehicle Patrol Officer to become a part of our team. The main responsibility of this role is to deliver security patrol services to various clients across the Inland Empire and San Bernardino Counties. Our Patrol Officers have the task of patrolling our clients' premises by foot and vehicle, ensuring the safety of individuals and property, preparing detailed and clear reports, as well as enforcing the specific rules and regulations of each client. To excel in this position, candidates must possess excellent observational abilities, be capable of responding efficiently to incidents, and have a strong dedication to upholding the law while also offering exceptional service to our communities.

Schedule:

• 1- Mon-Fri 8:00 pm-12:30 am (22.5 hours weekly)
• 2 - Mon-Fri 1:00 am-05:30 am (22.5 hours weekly)

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine patrols of assigned areas using company vehicles to deter and detect suspicious activity, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
• Maintaining a keen awareness of surroundings and promptly reporting any unusual activities, security breaches, or potential hazards to the appropriate authorities and supervisors.
• Respond to alarms and emergency situations promptly, adhering to established protocols to mitigate risks and offer necessary support.
• Monitoring access points to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas, and verifying credentials as necessary.
• Completing accurate and detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities on each shift. Also maintaining daily logs and records.
• Interacting professionally with clients, visitors, and employees, and providing excellent customer service and assistance when required.
• Ensuring the proper maintenance and cleanliness of assigned security vehicles, and promptly reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
• Working collaboratively with other security personnel, law enforcement, and emergency services to ensure a coordinated and effective security response.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain high standards in security services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in security-related fields is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Demonstrable experience in security roles, with a preference for candidates who have prior vehicle patrol experience.
• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
• Physical fitness and the capacity to perform patrols on foot as well as via a vehicle.
• Flexibility to work during different shifts, where required. This includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• First Aid and CPR certification, though not always a necessity, can be a big plus.
• A commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.
