Job Purpose
In your role as billing clerk, you will handle billing and customer service related support to our current residential, commercial, and short-term rental customers. This role will work alongside our accounting and finance teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Taking inbound calls from customers
- Assisting customers with questions related to their services and billing
- Preparing and sending customer’s statements
- Coordinating correction of customer’s contract terms set up within sales
- Updating customer payment instructions, payment terms and payment type
- Process customer payments, including cash, credit card, bank transfers, or other methods
- Reconcile payments with invoices and ensure proper crediting to the correct customer accounts
- Address customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes.
- Communicate any billing adjustments or corrections to customers promptly
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
The successful candidate profile includes:
- High school diploma required
- Customer service experience
- Data entry experience
- High attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
