Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading the culinary team. The Executive Sous Chef will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence.
Essential Functions
Kitchen Operations:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the Executive Chef's standards.
Menu Execution:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of menu items.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Assist in the development of daily specials and menu updates.
Staff Training and Supervision:
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of line cooks and other kitchen personnel.
- Assist in creating a positive and productive work environment.
Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and presentation.
- Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
- Address any culinary issues or customer feedback.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with scheduling and other administrative tasks.
- Assist with cost control measures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a fine-dining restaurant, preferably with Italian cuisine experience.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.2

Compensation:
- Salary: $72,000 - $78,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
