What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller for Family Office position at Private Family Office?
Initially must work at our location in the Santa Ynez Valley approximately 20 hours per week as needed-ability to work most hours from your home after you have demonstrated proficiency and an understanding of our needs.
➤Set his/her own hours, as long as they are consistently working as needed per week
➤Data entry and scan all invoices and checks that the office receives.
➤Reconcile bank accounts and work with Appfolio accounting system.
➤Assist in administrative tasks such as expense reports for the principal's travel, facilitate communications with outside vendors for various real estate projects, manage insurance needs, track private equity investments and assist with tax return preparation of various entities.
Initially work side by side with a CPA to help you build your knowledge of the firm's needs.
Qualifications and Education:
The qualified candidate will have the following qualifications:

➤Works well with others, able to work independently and has a pleasant demeanor!
➤Administrative experience required.
➤At least 5 years Accounting experience.
➤Appfolio experience , computer skills
➤Excellent communication skills
➤Excellent organizational skills
Property management experience is a PLUS to understand the back office role that you will be performing. Prior experience as a controller with a family office or property management firm will help round out the skill sets needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
