Description

SUMMARY: 

ProFarm Group (PFG) is a subsidiary of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a global provider of biologically derived fertilizers, inoculants, crop traits, adjuvants, biostimulants and pesticides, serving the ever-expanding agricultural markets. PFG focuses on discovering, developing, and marketing nature-derived biostimulants, as well as pest management products from microbes and plant extracts for the effective control of invertebrate pests, weeds, and plant diseases.  

 

Responsible for helping with all facilities and safety including overseeing the regulatory, environmental, sustainability, budget, maintenance, continuous operations of all building systems, providing a safe, in compliance, work environment for all employees and guests.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

Essential Functions 

  • Help ensures all facilities are operated and maintained in a cost-effective and safe condition. 

  • Escort vendors/contractors as needed. 

  • Help with scheduled and unscheduled repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and work orders.  

  • Conduct meetings when the Facility & Safety Manager is out of the office, sustainability, safety committee, initial employee safety training and annual employee safety training. 

  • Help generate reports on facility and instrument related non-conformances, discrepancies, corrective actions, incident reports, etc. 

  • Help maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation including up-to-date building drawings and specifications. 

  • Help ensures all processes, procedures, and compliance necessary to comply with OSHA requirements are up to date; maintain records and data to comply with OHSA requirements. 

  • Serve as safety resource for all departments and assist departments in complying with appropriate safety standards. 

  • Help review all workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses; complete appropriate reporting; Coordinates with the People & Culture Department as required on accidents and injuries. 

  • Help ensure the office is functioning in an efficient manner; create and maintain systems to manage equipment, furniture, office, and kitchen supplies, etc. 

  • Manage security when Facility & Safety Manager is out of the office, for security and alarm systems. 

  • Help with maintenance of the company vehicle, security & alarm systems, and employee badges. 

  • Editing all standard operating procedures for equipment and safety policies, as necessary e.g., Haz Mat, IIPP documentation. 

  • Reviews compliance of solid waste management and recycling vendors, keeping updated on required codes.  

  • Help plan, and organize, solid waste activities including, but not limited to waste reduction, recycling, reuse, refuse collection, compost, and disposal services with internal and external partners. 

  • Engage and train internal and external partners on sustainability/zero waste best practices and activities, including goal setting. 

 

Other Duties 

  • Initiate purchase orders through an ERP system (e.g., SAP) and vendor maintenance contracts and track expected deliveries. 

  • Coordinate set up and cleanup of rooms for meetings and events. 

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS: 

Education:  

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent 

  • Facilities and Safety experience preferred. 

 

Experience:  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cleaning, organizing, and line of sight accountability. 2 years of professional office and/or laboratory experience preferred.  

 

Essential Physical and Mental Requirements 

Physical Requirements: e.g.,  

  • Ability to sit at a desk.  

  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. 

  • Extensive use of computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. 

  • Ability to lift at least 50 /- pounds.  

  • Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, turn and use/walk up ladders to change lights or make other required facilities modifications at varying heights, etc. 

 

Mental Requirements:  

  • Ability to multitask. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and with urgency.  

  • Able to communicate well and often verbal and written.  

  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to maintain confidentiality. 

  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language.   

  • Ability to conduct simple mathematical formulas (add/subtract/multiple/divide).

Compensation for roles at PFG varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At PFG, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at PFG include salary bonus (if applicable) benefits.
