Painter/Maintenance

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and residential painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence are essential for success in this role.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Conduct frame carpentry work as needed for remodeling or renovation projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate colors for their projects.
• Install drywall as part of preparation for painting or finishing work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial painting is preferred.
• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the painting trade.
• Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of frame carpentry and remodeling practices is desirable.
• Understanding of color theory and its application in various projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
