Business Excellence Consultant
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Excellence Consultant to support the review and enhancement of our newly formed Business Excellence department. The consultant will assess the current organizational structure, quality goals, and processes (including SOPs) while providing strategic insights into aligning these elements with the overall objectives for continuous improvement and excellence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in quality management, process optimization, and organizational effectiveness to help drive business outcomes and ensure the successful achievement of deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review of Current Organizational Structure & Quality Goals:
- Analyze and assess the existing organizational structure of the new Business Excellence department.
- Evaluate the alignment of current quality goals with business objectives, ensuring that these goals support the overall business strategy.
- Review and assess current processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to identify any gaps or areas for improvement.
- Needs Analysis for Quality and Process Improvement:
- Conduct a thorough needs analysis to identify opportunities for quality and process improvements within the department.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather insights into existing challenges, resource gaps, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop clear and actionable recommendations based on the needs analysis, addressing quality and process improvement goals.
- Advising on Organizational Structure & Critical Milestones:
- Advise on any necessary adjustments to the organizational structure to better align with business excellence initiatives.
- Define critical milestones and key deliverables to achieve business excellence outcomes and set realistic timelines for achieving these milestones.
- Provide recommendations for resource allocation, training, and performance metrics to support the execution of business excellence initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business excellence, quality management, process improvement, or organizational development.
- Strong understanding of organizational structures, process optimization, and quality management frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
- Experience with needs analysis and developing actionable recommendations for business process improvement.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Management, PMP) are a plus.
