FIRE ALARM DEPARTMENT MANAGER - INSPECTION, SERVICE AND REPAIR

We’re searching for a Fire Alarm Department Manager to join our team and lead our fire alarm install, monitoring set up, service and repair team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our alarm jobs, coordinating activities, leading crews, and ensuring every project is completed on time, within budget, and with the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight:

o Lead and manage all aspects of fire alarm system installation projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion, inspections, service and repairs.

o Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met.

o Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.

2. Crew Management:

o Supervise and direct the daily activities of crews, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and industry standards.

o Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to crew members to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely project completion.

o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, providing training and development opportunities for crew members.

3. Quality Control and Safety Compliance:

o Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations, ensuring that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal safety standards.

o Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work is being performed according to project plans and quality standards, making adjustments as needed.

o Address any issues or deficiencies that arise during construction, working with crews to implement corrective actions promptly.

4. Client Communication and Relationship Management:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the construction phase, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.

o Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded by delivering projects that are on time, within budget, and of the highest quality.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

o Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that costs remain within approved limits.

o Optimize the use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to achieve maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

6. Travel:

o Travel within assigned geographic area to meet with clients, conduct site visits and develop business.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

o Maintain accurate records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, work logs, and safety reports.

o Provide regular reports to senior management on project progress, crew performance, and any potential risks or issues.

8. Continuous Improvement:

o Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, crew productivity, and project outcomes.

o Stay informed about advancements in fire alarm technology, construction methods, and industry best practices to ensure that the company remains competitive.

9. Goal Achievement:

o Consistently achieve pre-established performance goals.

10. Other:

o Attend company meetings as required.

o Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Foreman, or Supervisor

· In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, installation methods, design and industry standards.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct crews effectively.

· Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

· Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools, and blueprint reading.

· Strong commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

· Experience in the fire protection industry or construction industry.

· Experience in a service company environment.

· Proficiency in estimating software and CRM systems.
