Progressive Design, Inc. (PDI) is currently seeking an Accountant. This is a full-time on-site position that is located in Midlothian, VA (Richmond, VA area).
This position will have 3-5 years of experience with responsibilities including payroll processing, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and assisting with tax preparation, while also requiring strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:
- Payroll processing, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank statements and other accounts.
- Ensuring proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Preparing reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Assisting with tax preparation and filing.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Assessing and improving internal controls.
- Participating in internal and external audits.
- Assisting with budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Developing and monitoring financial forecasts.
- Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Recommending solutions to improve financial performance.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong Excel skills.
