Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist

Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Patient Care Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for connecting with patients. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working with people, is a self-starter, multi-tasker and team player. They are able to perform the essential job duties as described, be friendly and compassionate, even under pressure, and maintain a good attendance record. They are able to manage incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Connect with and welcome all patients and visitors to the clinic
• Manage provider schedules
• Schedule appointments for new and established patients
• Collect patient payments
• Maintain patient records and address billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
• Process incoming faxes
• Verify insurance information and apply for authorization as needed
• Maintain inventory
• Light office cleaning

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Ability to multitask without the loss of quality of work
• Ability to put the needs of the patient first and to serve them with respect and care
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
• Ability to maintain calm and friendly professionalism, multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
