CONTROLLER – MANUFACTURING (Permanent)
Our client, a well-established local company in WNY, is looking to hire a Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity that provides a great work-life balance in a company who values and rewards its employees. This position is open due to an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all accounting functions, taking ownership in their completion and, ultimately, contributing to the financial success of the company
- Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Manage general ledger completion, accruals, depreciation schedules, etc.
- Own the month-end close process, ensuring financial reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Oversee the transition into / implementation of new technologies / computer systems
- Review the success of the new computer system, utilizing it to streamline processes and enhance operations
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team in order to drive business, providing key insights into financial successes / shortcomings of the company and offering educated recommendations for improvements
- Communicate the status of financial goals, budgets, etc.
- Provide analysis, planning, and accounting support to the business
- Manage and mentor accounting department, providing guidance & leadership as needed
- Collaborate with external accountants to ensure financial accuracy & compliance with tax laws / regulations
- Maintain compliance and confidentiality at all times
- Assess current processes and identify new solutions to create a more efficient workflow
- Other duties as assigned
Details :
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
