- Experience designing electrical systems within the power distribution sector

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out various tasks including but not limited to;
1) Planning utility projects involving voltage conversions and feeder additions
2) Reliability Improvements
3) Partnering with commercial/industrial customers with complex systems (i.e., Network, Auto-Transfer multi-feeder, Distribution Ductline)
4) Conducting field investigations & assessments while adhering strictly safety guidelines
Rate/Benefits :
This opportunity offers an attractive remuneration starting at $75,000 and up to $121,000 annually depending on experience level alongside other benefits that come along such positions.

Duties:
The primary job duty will be responsible for assisting off set the current workload within the Austell Distribution Area. Each employee will be expected to understand distribution and Georgia Power Company programs/process. Duties will include, but are not limited to, managing multiple projects, planning level utility projects involving voltage conversions and feeder additions, OH to UG feeder conversions, reliability improvements, and work with commercial/residential/industrial customers on complex distribution systems (network, auto-transfer multi-feeder, distribution ductline).
* Utility-related electrical distribution experience is required.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology
* Project Management Certification is a plus
* Minimum of 2 years of Distribution experience
* Experience with JETS, DistView, GIS, Socket, TEAMS, Auto-CAD, MOBI applications
* Experience with planning level utility projects involving voltage conversions and feeder additions
* Overhead to Underground feeder conversions experience
* Substation, rebuilds, reconducting experience
* Reliability improvements experience
* Experience dealing with commercial/industrial customers with complex systems (i.e., Network, Auto-Transfer multi-feeder, Distribution Ductline) is preferred
* Electric Utility Project Management experience that includes organized approach, time management of multiple projects, the ability to create/manage construction timelines (Gnatt Charts), lead pre-construction meetings, and strong communication skills is preferred
* Distribution High Voltage Switching Experience to predict needs is a plus
* Ability to apply sound engineering practices in providing reliable, economic and timely electric service to our customers, required with proper time and experience.
* Ability to make sound engineering decisions during emergency situations, required with proper time and experience.
* Effectively communicate and work well with others.
* Effective time management skills are required. This assignment will work under the direction of the local Engineering Supervisor but needs to be self-sufficient and work independently with little oversight.
* Take ownership of assigned work.
Requirements:
