What You'll Do
As an integral member of the clinical team, you will:
- Conduct thorough patient workups and specialized diagnostic testing to support the provider, managing 4-6 patient encounters per hour.
- Perform a variety of advanced testing (OCT, visual fields, keratometry, tonometry, visual field testing, and more) to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Assist with in-office procedures, including setup, patient education, and post-procedure care.
- Manage contact lens fittings, orders, and patient instructions, keeping inventory up to date.
- Document patient interactions and provider notes in the EMR system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as a technical resource, ensuring all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills: A professional, empathetic, and energetic demeanor with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Education & Certification: High School Diploma required. Active certification within Ophthalmology (COA/COT/OSC) preferred.
