We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Landlord-Tenant Litigation Associate to join our growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of landlord-tenant disputes and related litigation matters in a supportive and engaging firm environment. With no billable hour requirements, attorneys can focus on delivering exceptional client service and legal representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle landlord-tenant litigation, including nonpayment and holdover proceedings.
- Represent clients in court appearances, trials, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Provide legal guidance on housing regulations, lease agreements, and tenant disputes.
- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- At least three years of experience handling landlord-tenant matters.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases efficiently.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
