Job Title: Inside Sales Representative (Full-Time)

Location: Office - New Hudson, MI

Reports To: Director of Sales and Product Management

We are expanding our team and looking for a driven and passionate Inside Sales Representative to help us continue our growth and maintain our reputation as a trusted supplier in the lighting industry.


Job Description:

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be the voice of our company, helping to drive sales through proactive communication with potential and existing customers. You will work directly with both B2B and B2C clients to understand their needs, provide product recommendations, process orders, and ensure a smooth customer experience from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the growth of a dynamic, fast-paced business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Proactively reach out to potential customers through phone, email, and live chat to introduce our products and services. Nurture leads and identify opportunities to grow sales.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, assist with order management, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Product Recommendations: Use your expertise to understand customers' needs and recommend the best lighting solutions, including products from our extensive catalog.
  • Order Processing: Accurately enter and track customer orders, ensuring that all details are correct and shipments are processed efficiently.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals by identifying and pursuing opportunities, handling customer objections, and closing deals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, shipping, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless experience for the customer.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on product offerings, industry trends, and company promotions to provide accurate information and make recommendations.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar role, preferably in the lighting, electrical, or home improvement industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite / Gsuite, and online communication tools.
  • A strong interest in lighting products and the ability to quickly learn technical product details is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with an e-commerce or online sales environment.
  • Knowledge of lighting products, fixtures, and controls (e.g., Lutron, Legrand, or similar brands).
  • Experience using sales software. Systems we use: Adobe Commerce, Shipstation, Slack, Monday.com, Livechat Inc, Finale Inventory.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
