ProMach's Quest Industrial is seeking an experienced Technical Writer/Mechanical Designer. In this role, you’ll produce and maintain high-quality documentation of our equipment and components for robotic packaging systems. You’ll be part of a highly talented team at Quest that is passionate about providing innovative robotic solutions for our customers.
Are you passionate about this work?
- Produce high-quality documentation (manuals, appendices, operating and maintenance instructions, etc.) that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Work with internal teams (Engineering, Production, Aftermarket) to obtain an in-depth understanding of our robotic systems/cells and the technical documentation requirements. Gather and research information.
- Obtain technical input and review of content from various subject matter experts prior to production of final documentation.
- Analyze existing and potential content for improvement opportunities.
- Design and model minor parts and assemblies in Engineering design software.
- Assist in the ECN (Engineering Chance Notice) process through revision of parts and assembles while ensuring updates are maintained.
- Create critical spare parts lists and complete other tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager.

- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience working in a technical role, OEM equipment design experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferred.
- Excellent listening and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to use mathematics along with analytical use of engineering charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation and company products.
- Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor preferred.
