Position Overview
As the plant General Manager / VP Operations of our food manufacturing facility based in St. Paul, Minnesota you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards while closely managing costs and plant profitability. Reporting directly to the enterprise CEO, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes and CAPEX projects while fostering a winning culture of excellence within the plant.
A successful individual in this position will be eligible for career advancement opportunities at the global enterprise level as the business grows overseeing multiple production manufacturing facilities.
Job Duties to include but not limited to :
- Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business objectives and other deliverables.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, including production scheduling, inventory management, maintenance operations.
Provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of managers, supervisors, and production staff in a union plant environment.
Develop and manage annual plant budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve cost targets and profitability goals.
Ensure adherence to strict quality standards and food safety regulations through the production process.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in food manufacturing or related industry with at least five years in a senior leadership role.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a food manufacturing environment driving operational excellence, implementing continuous improvement and operational excellence. She / he will exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal and gritty problem-solving skills in a team atmosphere. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, strategic long-range planning and executing transformational CAPEX projects.
