Job Description : Lead Maintenance Technician
Overview : As a Lead Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within our organization. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring the efficient operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and organizational ability to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.
Responsibilities : Team Leadership :
Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians.
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members.
Delegate tasks and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Maintenance Operations :
Perform routine maintenance and repair work on machinery, equipment, and systems as needed.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and maintain maintenance records.
Be available for on-call after hours emergencies.
Facility Management :
Monitor the condition of facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Inventory and Budget Management :
Manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment.
Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies in maintenance operations.
Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Generate reports on maintenance metrics, such as downtime, repair costs, and equipment reliability.
Communicate maintenance status updates to management.

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, with leadership experience preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Familiarity with maintenance management software and computer literacy.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification (e.g., HVAC, electrical) is a plus.
