Position Overview

The Chef at The Prospect is an engaging leadership role requiring steadiness and calm amid challenges. This position requires a teacher mindset, which is ideal for an individual who is inspired to uphold consistency and efficiency while being able to grow the team's skills and speed.

Responsibilities

• Lead: Hire, train, and build a kitchen team prepared to launch the Cliff House.
• Develop and enforce operating systems to create a production schedule and line that runs seamlessly and efficiently across multiple meal periods.
• Comprehend all kitchen processes, from managing the line to overseeing stations, handling all mise en place, preparing prep sheets, and holding the team to standards and consistency.

Qualifications

• Possession of passion for food, exceptional work ethic, and dedication.
• Three - five years of culinary leadership experience.
• Six years of professional kitchen experience.
• Positive approach to communication and problem-solving.

Work Environment

We expect staff to comply with all CLIFF HOUSE policies and procedures designed to comply with all the restaurant industry's federal and state-mandated safety and sanitation regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual Base Salary $75,000 - $90,000.
• Five-day work week.
• Bonuses based on company success.
• Two weeks paid vacation PTO, plus six holiday days (to be taken within 30 days).
• 100% employer-paid health insurance and dental insurance for the individual plan.
