Intake/Scheduling Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the patient intake process, including scheduling appointments and collecting necessary information.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Verify insurance information and assist patients with any insurance-related inquiries.
• Utilize medical office management software, such as Dentrix, to maintain accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient transitions and care coordination.
• Maintain a clean and organized office environment while adhering to all safety protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Kinnser/WellSky experience a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in documentation review and data entry tasks.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
