Job Summary:
As the Facility Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility’s operations, maintenance, and safety to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of facility managers and technicians, while working closely with various departments to meet company goals and maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily facility operations, including building maintenance, equipment, utilities, and grounds.
- Ensure the plant operates in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations and capital expenditures.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to optimize facility performance.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance and facilities personnel, ensuring ongoing training and development.
- Monitor and enforce plant security measures to safeguard personnel, assets, and equipment.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of building systems, mechanical/electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
