Director of Strategic Partnerships

Provider Partners Health Plan (PPHP) is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan for individuals enrolled in Medicare who reside in long-term care facilities. PPHP is truly something new – a Special Needs Plan run by a team of highly experienced long-term care providers that work with physicians, hospitals and other providers to improve the quality of care and outcomes for its members. Patients and their families appreciate the extra, personalized touch offered in facilitating communication and care delivery among all the providers involved in their care.

If this is you, come be part of our elite team as Director of Strategic Partnerships. The candidate who is best fit for this role will be responsible for fostering new business relationships and retaining the existing customer base through their individual efforts and through the efforts of the account management team they oversee.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Partner Development, the Director of Strategic Partnerships will play a lead role in providing financial and operational support to Senior Management while improving efficiency throughout the organization.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Establishes consultative relationships with facility and corporate contacts to identify needs and offers proactive solutions to meet those needs while considering customer input to build best practices for program implementation, resulting in improved efficiency and workflow.
  • Responsible for New Business Development to include soliciting and closing new business opportunities in expansion markets while developing and maintaining a good understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Reconciliation of sales leads using Sales Force and other technology to increase closing ratios and improve overall corporate account momentum
  • Collaborates with Leadership team to establish and implement departmental policies, objectives and procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Develop, recommend and execute strategies to drive growth for assigned business units
  • Conduct research, analyze trends and identify opportunities in key industry sectors and target clients
  • Analyze competitors and their service offerings and identify opportunities in key industry sectors and with target clients
  • Track business pipeline, results, wins and losses
  • Develop project plans and budgets to ensure business development initiatives are implemented on time and within budget
  • Research and evaluate speaking, sponsorship and membership affiliation opportunities
  • Plan seminars, webinars, conferences, tradeshows and other firm-sponsored events in coordination with the marketing events team
  • Strategically increase the plans database of clients and industry decision makers and develop event and publication mailing lists
  • Manage budgets and ensure expenses comply with firm expense policies and procedures
 
 
 
Qualification Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field of study
  • Working knowledge of private insurance, Medical Assistance, Medicare and the general landscape of third-party payor-ship
  •  Advanced skills in leadership, communications, influence and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with employees of all skill levels/areas of the business
  • Solid understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Strong capability to gather, analyze, evaluate and interpret data for reporting purposes
  • implementation/maintenance
  • Background in the healthcare industry and at least seven years of experience in business development within long term care
  • Substantive knowledge of the long-term healthcare industry and the ability to work well with various stakeholders within the firm
  • Team player with strong leadership skills who can direct, coach, motivate and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the department and firm goals
  • Forward-thinking, strategic thinker and self-starter with the ability to balance long-term strategic vision and effective day-to-day execution
  • Superb project management that can be utilized both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Outstanding research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a persuasive manner
  • Superior client service skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Technologically savvy with demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong ability to learn new programs
  • Proven ability to supervise, train and motivate team members
  • 5 Year's experience with Healthcare Contracting
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines and the flexibility to travel and work additional hours as needed to meet department goals.
